Fixrtech LLC ("Fixrtech", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website fixrtech.com and the Fixrtech platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Fixrtech, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly:
- Name and email address when you join the waitlist or create an account
- Account credentials (email/password or Google OAuth)
- Profile information for IT professionals (specialty, rate, bio, certifications, location)
- Booking details including issue description, session type, and duration
- Payment information processed securely by Stripe — we never store full card numbers
- Reviews and ratings you submit after a session
We also collect information automatically:
- Device type, browser, and IP address
- Pages visited and actions taken on the platform
- Session and usage data to improve the service
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account
- To match customers with IT professionals
- To process payments and payouts via Stripe
- To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, receipts, session updates)
- To send platform announcements and launch notifications (you can opt out anytime)
- To improve the platform and resolve disputes
- To comply with legal obligations
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in these limited cases:
- With IT professionals: your name, issue description, and contact info are shared with the pro you book
- With Stripe: payment processing — governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy
- With Supabase: our database and auth provider — data is stored securely with encryption at rest
- With Resend: our email delivery provider, used only for transactional and notification emails
- With law enforcement: if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@fixrtech.com. Payment records may be retained for up to 7 years for tax and legal compliance.

Cookies

Children's privacy
Fixrtech is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top and notify registered users by email for material changes.

Agreement to terms
By accessing or using the Fixrtech platform at fixrtech.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users including customers, IT professionals ("Pros"), and visitors.
What Fixrtech is
Fixrtech is an online marketplace that connects customers seeking tech support with independent IT professionals. Fixrtech LLC is not itself a tech support provider. Pros are independent contractors, not employees of Fixrtech. We do not guarantee the outcome of any session.
Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
- You may not create more than one account or impersonate another person
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
For customers
- You agree to provide accurate information when booking a session
- Payment is authorized at booking and captured after the session is marked complete
- Cancellations before a session begins will result in a full release of the payment hold
- You agree to treat Pros with respect — harassment or abuse will result in account termination
- Fixrtech is not liable for data loss, damage, or outcomes resulting from a session
For IT professionals (Pros)
- You represent that you have the skills and qualifications you list on your profile
- You are an independent contractor and solely responsible for your taxes and obligations
- Fixrtech takes a 15% platform fee from each completed session
- Payouts are processed via Stripe Connect to your connected bank account
- You agree not to solicit customers to pay outside the Fixrtech platform
- Fixrtech may remove your profile for policy violations, poor reviews, or inactivity
💡 Fixrtech's 15% platform fee covers payment processing, customer matching, dispute support, and platform maintenance.
Payments
All payments are processed by Stripe. By using Fixrtech, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. Fixrtech uses manual capture — your card is authorized at booking and only charged after your session is complete. Fixrtech is not responsible for payment disputes arising from Stripe's systems.
Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to circumvent Fixrtech's payment system
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the platform
- Introduce malware or attempt to compromise platform security
Disclaimers
The Fixrtech platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Fixrtech is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fixrtech's total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to Fixrtech in the 90 days prior to the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Cook County, Illinois.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We'll notify registered users by email for material changes.
